TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the rental and use of any camera kit(s) or related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Joshua Price Ltd, trading as Vlog Your (the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), to you (the “Client,” “you,” or “your”). By completing checkout and placing an order through our website or any other agreed platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. DEFINITIONS
1.1 “Equipment” refers to all items included in the rental package(s), including but not limited to cameras, batteries, cases, accessories, cables, and any additional items provided by the Company for the Client’s rental period.
1.2 “Rental Period” begins once the Equipment has been delivered to the Client and ends when the Equipment is handed over to the shipping service for return or otherwise received back by the Company.
1.3 “Accidental Damage” means damage to the Equipment that occurs despite normal, careful use of the Equipment, such as an unintended drop or knock.
1.4 “Negligence or Misuse” includes any reckless, intentional, or inappropriate use of the Equipment that goes beyond normal or intended operation (e.g., submerging cameras without proper waterproof housing, throwing, or leaving Equipment unsecured).
2. AGREEMENT TO TERMS
By placing an order and/or completing checkout, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
- You agree to abide by these Terms and any policies referenced herein, including our Privacy Policy, which may be updated from time to time.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not proceed with the order and should not use the Equipment.
3. BOOKING & PAYMENT
3.1 Booking Confirmation
You agree to pay the full price of the rental at the time of booking. Upon successful payment, a confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided.
3.2 Payment Methods
We accept the payment methods displayed on our checkout page. No deposit is required unless explicitly stated.
3.3 Price Changes
The Company reserves the right to alter pricing at any time prior to your booking confirmation. Once a booking is confirmed, the agreed-upon price is binding.
4. DELIVERY & RETURN
4.1 Delivery
- We deliver within mainland UK only (unless expressly agreed otherwise).
- The Equipment will typically arrive a few days prior to your event to allow time for setup and inspection.
- Someone should be at the delivery address to receive the delivery.
4.2 Return
- The Client must return the Equipment within 48 hours of the wedding or agreed-upon event date, unless additional days have been pre-arranged.
- Free return postage or collection is provided as outlined on our website. The Client is responsible for following the instructions given for packing and returning the Equipment.
4.3 Liability Transfer
- Liability for the Equipment transfers to the Client upon delivery confirmation.
- Once the Equipment has been handed to the shipping provider for return (or collected by them from your location), liability transfers back to the Company (subject to the shipping company’s insurance).
5. USE OF EQUIPMENT
5.1 Suitable Care
You agree to use the Equipment with due care and in accordance with any instructions (written, video, or verbal) provided by the Company. The Equipment must only be used for the purpose of filming and/or photographing wedding-related events and personal content, unless otherwise agreed.
5.2 Prohibited Uses
You shall not:
- Sublet, rent, or otherwise transfer the Equipment to any third party without prior written consent.
- Use the Equipment in ways that could be deemed illegal, dangerous, or abusive (e.g., submersion without waterproof casing, or use in hazardous environments without proper precautions).
6. DAMAGE & LIABILITY POLICY
6.1 Wear & Tear
- Minor cosmetic marks, scratches, or other superficial signs of normal usage that do not affect Equipment functionality are considered “wear and tear” and incur no charge.
6.2 Accidental Damage
- If a camera or accessory is accidentally damaged, you agree to pay up to £99 per affected camera (or less if the actual repair cost is lower). The Company will assess the damage and provide repair quotes or relevant documentation as needed.
6.3 Negligence, Misuse, Loss, or Theft
- You are liable for the full replacement cost of the Equipment if it is lost, stolen, or deemed to have been subjected to negligent or intentional misuse.
- If accessories such as batteries, tripods, or cables are not returned or are irreparably damaged due to misuse, you will be charged for their replacement at current market value.
6.4 Inspection & Communication
- The Company inspects the Equipment upon return and will notify you of any issues or damage.
- You have the right to explain or contest any findings of negligence or misuse, but the Company’s decision shall be final, acting reasonably.
7. FOOTAGE & BACKUP
7.1 Ownership of Footage
All footage recorded by you during the Rental Period is yours to keep. The Company will not claim copyright over your content.
7.2 Cloud Backup
We provide automatic backup features as described on our website. However, you acknowledge that unforeseen technical issues can occur, and the Company does not guarantee 100% uninterrupted backup or storage.
7.3 Storage Duration
The Company stores your footage for up to 24 months for your convenience. After this period, footage may be permanently deleted unless arrangements for extended storage are made in writing.
8. EDITING SERVICES (OPTIONAL)
8.1 DIY Editing
We may provide guides or materials to assist you with editing the footage yourself. These are offered “as is,” without warranty of any specific result.
8.2 Professional Editing
If you choose to purchase our editing services, you agree to additional terms specific to editing fees, revision limits, and turnaround times. These additional terms will be provided at the time of purchasing the editing service.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
9.1 No Guarantee of Event Coverage
While our Equipment is designed for ease of use, the Company is not responsible for any missed shots, poor audio quality, or user errors that result in incomplete coverage of your wedding day.
9.2 Indirect Damages
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages (including loss of data, emotional distress, lost profits, or missed opportunities) arising out of or related to these Terms or the Equipment rental.
9.3 Maximum Liability
In any event, the Company’s maximum liability shall be limited to the total fees paid by you for the Service in the preceding six months.
10. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
10.1 Cancellation by Client
- If you need to cancel your booking, notify us in writing (email) as soon as possible.
- Refund policies for cancellations may be stated on our website. Unless stated otherwise, cancellations made less than 30 days before the Rental Period may forfeit all or part of the fee at the Company’s discretion.
10.2 Cancellation by the Company
- The Company reserves the right to cancel your booking if unforeseen circumstances (including force majeure events) arise. In such cases, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, war, civil commotion, or government actions. If such an event continues for more than 30 days, either party may terminate these Terms with immediate effect by providing written notice.
12. PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION
We value your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
13. DISPUTE RESOLUTION & GOVERNING LAW
13.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales (or the jurisdiction in which the Company is registered).
13.2 Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising under these Terms, the parties shall first endeavour to resolve it amicably. Failing which, either party may refer the matter to a court of competent jurisdiction in England and Wales.
14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
The Company reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective upon posting to our website. If you have already booked and paid, you will be subject to the version of the Terms in effect at the time of your booking.
15. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with any referenced policies (including but not limited to our Privacy Policy), constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the rental of Equipment and related services. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or proposals, whether oral or written.
